Medical Electronic Systems (MES) develops automated sperm quality analyzers (SQA) for assessing male fertility in both human and animal categories. Since 1993, the company has performed extensive R&D in order to accurately characterize and analyze sperm cell movement, concentration and morphology. Through the use of electro-optic technology, computer modeling and video microscopy Medical Electronic Systems has developed the proprietary algorithms that are the foundation of our technology. The accuracy and speed with which the SQA reports semen parameters (75 seconds) is unmatched by manual methods.

As an added feature and included with every SQA-V, the company has developed data management software to enhance the capabilities of the SQA and assist the user to analyze, document and report semen analysis test results in multiple languages and with video attachments.

The products are FDA approved, CE marked and the company is ISO Certified and committed to provide breakthrough technology in the field of semen analysis.

SQA-V is a high performance analytical medical device that combines the most up-to-date electro-optic technology, computer algorithms and video microscopy. The system performs reliable semen analysis in 75 seconds. The test results are displayed on the operational screen and can be printed out and saved in the internal archive.
V-Sperm III™ is a software package that greatly enhances the data management, storage and video capabilities of the SQA-V. V-Sperm III is included with every SQA-V. The software is installed on a PC and is Windows compatible. V-Sperm III communicates with the SQA-V via a serial RS-232 connection.
Capillaries are the only disposable material that is necessary for automatic accurate sperm analysis in the SQA-V and SQA IIC-P devices.
QwikCheck™beads quality control material are assayed for SQA-V use and also for manual sperm counting systems/chambers. The beads are for in-vitro use only and can be used to assess the accuracy and precision of the laboratory sperm counting methods by providing a known target value. Each kit contains a high, low and negative FDA-approved and CE marked control.
SQA IIC-P combines electro-optics and computer algorithms to calculate and report semen analysis results. The instrument is a straightforward and convenient tool for basic semen assessment and screening. The SQA IIC-P provides a prompt and inexpensive quantitative screening semen analysis and generates a printed report of the results.
The SQA-Vb is the analyzer for bulls. The SQA-Vt is the analyzer for turkeys. The following new series of the Sperm Quality Analyzers for veterinary application are in the R&D stage: SQA-Vs, SQA-Vh and SQA-Vr for swine, horses and rats.
